  • Our stay was wonderful. Your hospitality amazing. We appreciated the hints and directions to some of the wineries we otherwise may have not found. We certainly enjoyed our stay and the local restaurants (Panino's & Café) were great! Your breakfasts were wonderful and the trouble you went to in making us comfortable was extremely good.

  • Thank you for a fantastic stay. We loved the cottage. It was beautifully designed and furnished plus ever so quiet. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend our weekend away from the kids. Wollombi is a great town – loved the Pub & Panino’s. Mostly we really enjoyed meeting you both. We had a lovely evening last night with you. Thank you for your warmth and hospitality. We’ll be back again!

  • Having arrived by chance, we’re certainly glad we did & couldn’t have had a better or more relaxing long weekend. Lovely warm generous hosts, chooks, log fire & great accommodation. You’re in no danger of starving at Bob & Angela’s place either! We’ve had a super time and will stay again when we’re next in the Hunter.

  • There are few superlatives big enough to express our pleasure staying with you. You have a wonderful home which you share with the generosity, friendship & welcome. Amazing food & jollity. Added to this – knitting patterns and advice and potential online recipes! What more could we ask.

  • Thank you so much for your wonderful warmth & hospitality, delicious dinners and breakies .. exciting adventures … birth of a calf … new puppy “Robo”. We would most certainly love to come back soon to see your citrus trees in bloom, new veggie patch in all its glory. It has also been a lovely time for our own little one to see the chickens, cows & dogs … love them all. Avoca House has certainly been a home away from home.
